This review is for the Midori Spring ECO Class Culinary Grade Matcha. Matcha Green tea is my absolute favorite tea. I have had the opportunity to try well over a dozen different brands and types of Matcha Green Tea (this includes both ceremonial and culinary versions). I like the taste of Matcha Green Tea. It reminds me of a ‘strong’ Green Tea. However, I fell in love with Matcha Green Tea due to its health benefits. Matcha Green Tea has 137 times the antioxidants of regular steeped tea. Besides that, it gives me a boost of energy; with no crash (I really love this one). I drink Matcha Green Tea hot, cold and incorporate the powder into smoothies, on occasion. This Culinary Grade Matcha by Midori Spring is perfect for smoothies, cooking and baking.
The bag contains 3.52 ounces of tea, which equates to 100 servings; that makes it an excellent value. I used this Matcha Green Tea Powder in several smoothies. There were never any clumps of tea floating around my cup, so it dissolved/incorporated well. I use a lot of fruit and protein powder in my smoothies; however, I could still detect the gentle flavor of the Matcha Green Tea in my mixture. You can cook and bake with Matcha Green Tea too, so the possibilities are endless.
